CBWC Mississauga Chapter scholarships are presented in June of each year. The application deadline for these scholarships occurs in April. For more information about the scholarship application such as eligibility and upcoming dates, see the Scholarship Guidelines and Online Application Forms.

Post Secondary Scholarship

The Post-Secondary Scholarship Award recognizes the academic achievement of Black youth graduating grade 12. Recipients of the Post-Secondary awards must demonstrate both a solid academic record and community volunteer service. The one time scholarship award amount is $1,000. The Mississauga Chapter awards five or more Post-Secondary scholarships in June of each year. Adult Scholarship Package

Introduced in 2010, the purpose of the Adult Post-Secondary Scholarship Award is to financially assist a Black woman who has identified the need to return to school to further her education. Recipient of this award must be currently enrolled in an accredited Canadian program, have demonstrated financial need, and be a volunteer in her local community. Teacher Scholarship

This Award is presented to a new teacher who has recently completed their studies. With this award we support and recognize members of the Black community who have chosen a profession in education. We believe it is important that our children see positive cultural reflections of themselves represented in our learning institutions.
